Watch Finding Forrester. My feeling is that this movie should help you understand the key issues that Holden is dealing with in Catcher in the Rye. In particular, today we will see this issue of vulnerability--this time the vulnerability of Salinger/Forrester. Remember, in many ways Holden is Salinger (although Forrester is quite annoyed by English teachers who say things like this).
