Word Definition
Emaciated = abnormally thin or weak, especially because of illness or a lack of food
Ex. Although the prisoners of war were fed three meals a day, many of them still looked emaciated and hungry.
Imminent = likely to occur at any moment
Ex. The hurricane is imminent and has homeowners rushing to board up their windows

Choose one of the four poems to memorize
Discuss and write in Journal: "In what ways does the poet use imagery to develop one of his main ideas.
- State the idea and then
- Cite/quote at least two examples from the poem. Then
- Explain how the example supports that idea.
- Elaborate for an additional sentence.
